Analysis of the carrying capacity of agricultural land, this analysis is intended to look the availability of existing agricultural land based on land use. And the relevance of urban development to the carrying capacity of agricultural land in the Mamminasata Metropolitan area. The results obtained that the area Mamminasata as metropolitan experiencing rapid growth in 2010 in various aspects, especially economic aspects that experienced growth rate above 10% per year. The most affecting aspects of land carrying capacity is the built up physical area, where the increasing number of urban built area affect the agricultural land which causes the agricultural land to be reduced due to the change of function to be built area. The development of agricultural land in the Mamminasata area is already at an alarming stage because most of the existing sub districts have deficit status with 35 sub districts or 77.7% of all sub districts. Based on the calculation of projection of agricultural land support capacity adjusted with the direction of Presidential Regulation no. 55 in 2011, indicates that municipalities / districts in the Mamminasata region can be developed in accordance with their function in the RTR direction, except that Takalar District which has the function of the center of agricultural activities tends to be a region that requires tight control to anticipate the conversion of agricultural land.
