Summary: | Medium enthalpy geothermal power plants are still not operating in Indonesia because development is still focused on high enthalpy fields. The high enthalpy field is more economically developed than the medium enthalpy field. The medium enthalpy field will be more attractive if it is developed in Eastern Indonesia because the price of BPP (Basic Cost of Electricity) is higher than Western Indonesia. Tulehu geothermal field is one of the medium enthalpy fields in Eastern Indonesia, the development status is currently in the feasibility study stage. This study aims to design the most economical development to be developed in the Tulehu geothermal field and to design an economic scheme for enthalpy medium field exploitation in general in Eastern Indonesia. The method used in this study uses a technical analysis approach and project economic analysis in each development scenario and the level of financial returns achieved. The results showed that the Tulehu geothermal field was feasible to be developed with multilevel development. The multilevel business pattern is designed with various levels. Level 1 is used for electricity using 2 scenarios (wellhead generating unit type condensing and organic rankine cycle). The next level is used for direct utilization for drying cloves and coffee. From the economic point of view, the best scenario is determined with the most economical electricity price criteria, namely the organic rankine cycle scenario. However, for the larger development of the Tulehu geothermal field, the wellhead generating unit scenario of the condensing type is recommended because the reservoir reserves are larger than the organic ranking cycle scenario. The development of the enthalpy medium field in general in Eastern Indonesia is also economical if it is developed using an organic rankine cycle scenario. |
