Fractures are present in reservoir that can increase the secondary permeability of a rock. The knowledge of fracture orientation is important, as this will effect the decision about drilling direction in order to get optimum production. Fracture orientation is estimated using method variation of attenuation versus offset and azimuth (QVOA). Fracture model investigated is vertical fractures (HTI medium). Fracture strike can be obtained by gradient of ttenuation versus offset for each azimuthal (QVO gradient). |
