Description
Summary:Abstract:

This paper introduces the observation-based learning method by integrating the whole resources into Mobile and Remote Observatory (MRO) prototype. Mobile Observatory (MO) is an integration of collector, filters, and detector as well as other supporting components on a vehicle. The system mobility is useful for finding dark

area to conduct astronomical observation. As anticipation of large area to be serviced, the system also accommodates remote observing mode as a Remote Observatory (RO) using network connection. The advantages of the system relative to similar such as Bradford Robotic Telescope, Telescopes in Education, and Charles Sturt University Remote Telescope is on its simpleness and low cost. The underlying philosophy for system development has been Keep It Simple and Cheap (KIS-C). The system uses public domain resources almost in all of its control softwares. Apply multi-link communication system with host-client control scenario, the system can maintain the use of minimal application licensing. As

only one installation is necessary, only one licence needs to be purchased. Through observation-based learning method, the enthusiasm arose wish to accelerates

science learning process-especially astronomy-in Indonesia and attracts growing of amateur astronomy club.
