ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The water loss problem on the clean water system in Indonesia still has less attention from the government. It can be happened on transmission and distribution system. Yet, the distribution system is the most affected one. Water loss can cause big loss either for the company (PDAM) as the management or the consumer. Beside the economic loss, PDAM has lost the trust from its consumers and the quality of PDAM itself. On the other hand, consumers have lost the quality and quantity of the services, given by PDAM and they have to pay the increasing price either. Water loss can be caused by physical and non physical factors. In physical way, it can be caused from technical factors on the plumbing system. But in the non physical, it is caused by non technical factors, such as administration mistakes and the water meter measurement mistakes. To increase the services, the control of water loss is needed by increasing the services without increasing the capacity of the water sources, reminding the less of the water sources. The 47percent water loss in Bandung at 2005 has over the normal limit, 18-20percent. In this case, the water loss control in PDAM Bandung is urgently needed.
