DRMA, as an automotive manufacturing component, is always required to operate their business effectively and efficiently. It is starting from the automation era in 2010 to 2016 with the implementation of robots and automation tools that have been carried out. The spirit of continuous improvement in each process will increase productivity, impacting efficiency and effectiveness in operations. Implementing a cost leadership strategy is necessary to respond to rising costs, especially in labor costs. Digitalization is a way to increase work productivity by providing efficient processes accurate and real-time information through new technology adoption to reduce lead time when providing information. The information from business operations at DRMA takes time if it is done manually and requires a workforce to process data input. Furthermore, inaccurate information has the potential risk due to wrong decisions, and potential problems cannot be identified. Digitalization initiative should come from strategy management process in order align with company strategy to get benefit optimization. The concept of collaboration between information technology and operations technology is expected to improve the connectivity of information to optimize business operations and improve company competitiveness. Information technology has an essential role in implementing digitization, especially providing infrastructure compliance and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to provide relevant, accurate, and real-time information. This final project is based on the actual digitalization project from 2018 to the present. The digital transformation journey will start by improving IT infrastructure, 4.0 digital technology adoption, and developing people readiness which was initiated by pilot projects in particular production lines, and the problem happened during that phase. The limitation of this final project is focusing on managing the digitalization in DRMA, particularly in the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) information system environment with samples of the digitization process in K1AA type production line by using manufacturing execution system (MES). text |
