Summary: | PT Bintang Biru is a service organisation that serves business consultation. In the service company, human resource is the most important asset that the company has which can affect the sustainability of the firm. However, PT Bintang Biru has the issue in terms of its human resource, in which it has a high turnover ratio. Moreover, based on the survey conducted by the firm within, it is known that the employees feel that working in PT Bintang Biru is lacking in work-life balance, recognition, and resourcing.
To investigate further regarding the issues that are being faced by the firm, this study is using a qualitative methodology to understand the root cause of the issues. The data collection method used in this study is through in-depth interviews with selected participants across the firm. Further, based on the data collected, root cause analysis using 5 Whys technique was also conducted to identify the root cause of the problem.
Based on the data exploration, it is found that the main problem is due to the lack of employee engagement within the firm, causing the employees to feel lack in work-life balance, recognition, and resourcing. Moreover, these lacking areas also impact the high turnover rate. |
