Summary: | The legacy of retail banking business and distribution strategy has challenged by the technological disruption, and it gets more intense during the last years. Since the beginning of Covid-19 Pandemic, the condition for banking industry become more uncertain and challenging. Specifically for Bank Barca retail business distribution that still mainly rely on branches network, the physical distancing and maximum quota per building policy has forced both the customer and bank to adapt more quickly to utilize digital channel or at least ATM channel for doing daily transaction. Moreover, there is still no clear vision for the banking industry after the covid.
Because of that, Bank Barca needs to explore an approach that could help them to draw various possibilities in future retail banking industry based on today’s data and information. By at least have a slight vision on the potential possibilities, Bank Barca could manage to better prepared to seize potential opportunity or to prevent potential threat that might occur in the retail business industry post-covid. The data collection method in this research using qualitative approach of interview to the related middle-to-up level management of Bank Barca retail distribution team before further the data will be use as the baseline to create scenario planning. |
