Summary: | Airport performance is closely related to the safety and quality of airport services.
When an airport operation exceeds its capacity, it can cause fatigue for air traffic
control officers, allowing accidents to occur and poor service when delays occur.
Thus, it is necessary to prepare to face future trends with short-term improvements
in the form of operational improvements or in the long term by improving the
configuration of air-side facilities, including apron, runway and taxiway. This
thesis examines how the effect of improving the configuration of air-side facilities
on airport capacity in the study area of Ahmad Yani International Airport,
Semarang.
In this study, the steps taken included collecting data from flight data, passenger
data, and airport environmental data itself. The data that has been obtained are
then analyzed to determine the movement of the existing conditions and the existing
conditions at the end of the planning year by modeling in the Simmod Pro software.
The performance obtained is departure queue time, runway occupancy time and
ground time. After analysis and evaluation, an alternative can be generated which
will be modeled and the results analyzed which can be used as the basis for
selecting the best alternative.
The results of the analysis obtained in this study with initial operating data of 122
flights per day are projected in 2040 to increase to 207 flights a day using the linear
regression method to determine passenger growth by 3% per year. From the
projection results, it can be seen that without There is improvement, so at the end
of the planning year there will be a problem of increasing the delay by 10 times
from the start of the study and the ROT which ranges from 1 to 2 minutes. Therefore,
several alternatives are proposed to determine the effect of adding air side facility
components. The best alternative is to simply add a parallel taxiway as it gets the
best performance at the lowest cost. |
