This makes cement companies struggle to reduce operational costs and improve their services to customers to be able to continue to be competitive in this industry Based on that background, Strong Cement Company (The pseudonym of Strong Cement will be used during this research for confidentiality purposes from the entity). which is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia and most of its cement transportation using truck mode is also required to develop the digitization process in terms of the delivery process to customers, with the target of reducing transportation costs and improving delivery performance. From various data collected from the company and supported by several benchmarks from several countries, the digitization solution used by Strong Cement Company was to change the delivery model from the conventional to the truck marketplace model. From the initial 6-month trial period, the truck marketplace has proven to be able to reduce transportation costs by 8% and increase the flexibility of the number of trucks when there is an increase in orders. text |
