It should be realized that the knowledge and experience of employees after serving for many years is very valuable. The culture of sharing knowledge and experience between employees as part of knowledge management is important so that employees' knowledge and experience are not carried away by employees, and the most important thing in implementing Knowledge Management is in terms of decision making. The research place is in Provincial Office of The Indonesian FDA in Serang (Balai Besar POM di Serang) which is one of the organizational units under The Indonesian Food and Drug Authority, who has a surveillance of food and drug catchment area in Banten Province. Badan POM which is a non-ministerial government agency since 2020 has been committed to implementing Knowledge Management through the Head of Indonesian FDA Decree Number HK.02.01.1.2.05.20.171 of 2020 concerning the Application of Knowledge Management within Indonesian FDA. Balai Besar POM di Serang has cultivated Knowledge Sharing in the form of socializing the results of the training as a result of the implementation of the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025. On the other hand, from monitoring and evaluation, it is known that in 2021 the number of knowledge material distributed by Balai Besar POM di Serang to The Indonesian FDA’s KM application, namely SIMPONI is still relatively low. This condition needs to be investigated further to identify its strengths and look for opportunities for improvement which for measuring the level of Knowledge Management has not been carried out since Balai Besar POM di Serang operated in 2007. This study aims to measure the maturity of Knowledge Management at Balai Besar POM di Serang. The method used is quantitative measurement through surveys, qualitatively through interviews and examination of business process documents. The survey was conducted using APO KM assessment tools to see strengths and opportunities in improving the implementation of KM. Interviews were conducted to confirm answers to the survey and after that, a documented business process examination was performed to confirm the actual state of the KM implementation of Balai Besar POM di Serang. The full picture of improvement opportunities is more clearly depicted through the Fishbone diagram and VRIO analysis is made as a description of the conditions that will be achieved if improving the application of KM. The results showed a value of 162.34 which means the level of KM maturity is at the level of 'Refinement' or in other words "The application of KM is continuously evaluated and improved". This value is categorized as high because there are applicable business process, namely the Implementation of Personnel Management, QMS ISO 9001 : 2015 and SNI : ISO / IEC 17025 and also Implementation of Bureaucratic Reform. According to the level, then Balai Besar POM di Serang needs to continue evaluate and improve its KM implementation. From the results of surveys, interviews and examination of business processes, opportunities are obtained to improve the implementation of KM. Based on these opportunities the author recommends steps that are expected to increase the maturity of KM implementation in the next 1 to 2 years. text |
