Contractors incorporate flows of physical resoures e.g. labour, equipments and material to produce output in the production process. These flows are called supply systems. Supply systems are part of a supply chain, a supply chain may contain one or more supply systems. A contractor is required to define, design, and implement supply systems to deliver effective flows of resources. This research is aimed to identify supply systems which are implemented by contractors on a big construction project and a smaller one. The case study results revealed that there is involvement of owner in the supply system of the big construction project which influences contract, pattern of supply chain, flows of supply that happened, bureaucracy, coordination, lead-time, and variability supply and demand the whole system then become more complex than the supply system on the smaller project. <br /> text
