Description
Summary:ABSTRACT NMS PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS AND OPTIMOZATION ON THE MICROWAVE RADIO NETWORK By Ali Farhani Sani NIM:23220009 (Master's Program in Electrical Engineering) Network Management System (NMS) is an application for monitoring and or controlling the system or the condition of the device (network element). NMS can be used as a solution to find out the actual condition of the device so that it can detect early if there is a system failure or device damage. The performance of the NMS must be able to present information in real time so that information from remote network elements can always be read by operators who are conducting surveillance on network elements. The SNMP protocol as a management protocol for connecting NMS with local network elements or those at the end of the location, can carry out the reporting process remotely. This protocol has been developed so that in the field implementation it can work in parallel with other protocols such as TCP/IP. The management process as well as the monitoring system is carried out by connecting a microwave radio device to a LAN/WAN connected to an NMS server with a monitoring process that can be carried out anywhere as long as it is connected to the server via a local network or via the internet. Network optimization is carried out so that when a failed (link down) occurs on the microwave radio system, the condition of the device can still be monitored so that it can be estimated which replacement components need to be prepared for troubleshooting.
