Along with the rapid development of technology coupled with changes in habits during the Covid19 pandemic, many activities are carried out from home. This makes gaming one of the most accessible entertainment activities. In addition, the game can certainly be a medium for conveying information and knowledge to its users. It can be seen that apart from websites, advertisements, brochures, or other media, games can be a medium for introducing tourist objects. This study aims to design an adventure mobile game as an informative and interesting introduction to Bontang City tourism objects. Adventure here means that players are invited to explore tourist sites by collecting items that have been determined and indirectly constitute a tourism activity that cares about the environment. This research was carried out qualitatively and with the design thinking method whose stages include empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The design of this adventure game is about the marine tourism potential of Mangrove Edu Park and Kanibungan River, Bontang City with a concept that is not only entertainment but can provide informative insight with a more immersive experience so that players seem to get the experience of exploring these tours. The results of this design are in the form of a mobile game with the theme of tourism adventure, especially raising the tourism potential of marine tourism in Bontang City. However, in this study, the focus is on the attractions of Mangrove Edu Park and the Kanibungan River. This game is an adventure genre by presenting the uniqueness of its tourist objects that are integrated into the gameplay. It does not only involve representations of natural tourism but also includes iconic souvenirs, flora, and fauna as well as brief reviews as information so that the game becomes more interesting and informative in order to introduce the tourism object in question and not ignore the element of entertainment. The test results on users show that the product can educate and increase user knowledge about Bontang City tourism objects. In addition, the product can be an alternative media for playing at home before the situation returns to normal and a tourist explosion occurs. text
