Therefore, measurement of the leached cadmium and lead from ceramic cookwares into food and drinks is required. The concentration of cadmium and lead were analyzed by atomic absorption spectroscopic method. Each of 15 units ceramic cookwares were filled with 4% acetic acid and were stored for 24 h at room temperature. In leach solution, the presence of cadmium was found in 13 samples, while lead was found in nine samples. However, the concentration of leached cadmium and lead from ceramic cookwares were still lower than the allowed concentration. text
