This research is a literature review study by searching literature using Google scholar and PubMed databases with certain keywords in June 2021. In this study, 15 articles were obtained that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the literature review show that methylene blue can be used as an indicator in pharmaceutical chemistry and has pharmacological effects in overcoming several diseases. Therefore, methylene blue is used in pharmaceutical chemistry as a redox indicator qualitatively and quantitatively. And proven mechanism of pharmacological effects in malaria, methemoglobinemia and Alzheimer's. text |
