ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> At coastal area, there always happened sediment transport. Stable coast is coast where has happened the equilibrium of sediment transport, that sediment which is transported equal to sediment settled. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Toronipa Kendari Beach is one of beach which will be developed as tourism area, has been damaged by erosion. People activity by mining of reef has resulted coastal damage. The effect has increased the strength of wave which punching stronger and also caused the sand brought by the wave. In view of the good potency of Toronipa Kendari Beach for tourism area development, the handling which has related to coastal protection is very required and needed getting the priority to overcome the erosion. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Through this study, could be compiled a prevention concept of erosion at Toronipa Kendari Beach which has been assumed as the most efficient and effective technically, economically, and practically in the design of coastal structure in the form of groin system, and also other recommendation that required for handling of Toronipa Kendari Beach.
