Ericsson, the telecommunication network company, forecast by 2026 5G technology will cover 60% of the global population. In Indonesia, the 5G technology adoption started by 27th of 2021. Telkomsel launch the first 5G network services Indonesia. Following by Indosat Ooredoo and XL Axiata, which already gain the permit from Ministry of Communication and Telecommunication to provide commercial services of 5G.
DSC Indonesia as the logistic provider of the telecommunication network company playing important role in the 5G network rollout in Indonesia. In the logistic perspective, 5G infrastructure having the complexity as well as opportunity. The main hardware components of 5G technology infrastructure include 5G small cell infrastructure and RAN towers especially in the city of dense area. Small cell base stations are design to blend in with the existing landscape. One of 5G technology utilize millimeter waves, which can carry more data faster, but only within a very short, unobstructed connection range. 5G Infrastructure need to install in many locations in the limited public area in the City. DSC Indonesia have to prepare the best solution for the towards the 5G network rollout. How is the DSC Indonesia readiness to support 5G network in Indonesia? What is DSC Indonesia strategy to optimizing the opportunity toward the 5G rollout? How DSC Indonesia preparing the end-to-end services for the telecommunication company?
