Logistic Performance Index (LPI) that is issued by the World Bank in 2018 states that Indonesia’s logistic sector is falling behind the other neighboring countries. One of Indonesia’s biggest potentials in the logistic sector is by utilizing the container ships as the main transportation to distribute logistic to every corner in Indonesia. The government has planned to develop the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) was welcomed nicely by the local government of Barru Regency in order to develop the Garongkong Port Area as a SEZ by designing a deck-on-pile type container dock structure at Garongkong Harbor with the largest ship plan of 50,000 DWT. The Harbor is located by coordinates 4o22’LS and 119o36’BT. From the results of structural calculations and analysis, the dimensions of the design pier are 302 meters long, 40 meters wide, +3 meters elevation above the LWS, and the water depth ±18 meters below LWS. The wharf element structure dimensions are determined using applicable standards and being modelled using SAP2000 software. From the modeling result, it is obtained that the maximum value of Unity Check Ratio (UCR) is 0.873, the maximum deflection is 0.041 m, and beam deflection has a maximum value of 0.0078 m, so to conclude the design of wharf structure plan has met the requirements to be constructed.
