ABSTRACT: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) fully believes that community development is an integral par of corporate development. As a measure of its social responsibility, PT KS has been partnering with local communities, women ortanizations and local goverment to faster community development. This involvement has inspired local communities to embark on activities that will create economic values around the company. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nowadays, people living around PT KS who are unemployable by the company also expect to get benefit from the company by utilizing vacant companys land for productive activities such as farming and selling. Optimizing the use of its vacant land is PT Krakatau Steels effort to develop communitys economy as well as to secure companys assets; and to better organize its surrounding from hawkers and farmers. Bina Pertanian dan Wisata Agro is one of such efforts that accomodates farming, trading, education, sport and recreation activities within the framewort of environment friendly development as envisioned by local goverments green open space management program Bina Pertanian dan Wisata Agro is an effective CSR program that fulfill PT Krakatau Steels objectives as well as fosters communitys entrepeneurial spirit that hopefully leads to better living. It is also effective in creating a positive image of the company, and creating an icon in Cilegon city.
