Drowsiness can be a huge problem for drivers because it makes the driver to be unable to fully concentrate, have responsiveness, and have the ability to make faster decisions to avoid collisions. The state is difficult to detect and rarely known by the driver. This needs a system to detect and warn before drowse. It is necessary to develop a system to help the driver problem, "Driver Drowsiness Detection and Warning System". When the driver is drowsy, it shows detectable characteristics such as changes in behavioral, vehicle behavior, physiological signals of the body. The detection system that will be developed must be able to detect more than one of these sleepiness characteristics to support the novelty of this final project. Then pairwise comparison is chosen to determine the best solution. In this final project, the chosen solution was detection of eye, road signs and steering wheel angles. One of the blocks that is being done in this final project is a vehicle-based detection block, which is the detection of the steering wheel angle of the car. The system must be able to detect a certain angle because the driver often makes macro corrections for a certain amount of time which is dangerous if it crosses the center line of the car. The system is expected not to be late in detecting this sleepy behavior and can provide good information. The test in this project was by measuring the angle of one degree. From the modeling results, it is found that for a car speed of 100 km/hour and a sampling time of 0.5 seconds, the maximum angle of the wheel before passing the car driving lane is 3.1 degrees.
