Description
Summary:Prolanis is a management chronic diseases program held by government, the aim is to improve patient hypertension and type-2 diabetees quality of life. Therefore, patient need to take medicine regularly. However, using medication can cause adverse drug reactions. This study aims to identify adverse drug reaction (ADR) in Prolanis patients and categorize it with Naranjo algorithm, identify the potency of drug interaction, analyze the difference between Naranjo and New Genetic Algorithm. This study is a concurrent observational study conducted with a crosssectional method on 90 patients during April –May 2021. Data were obtained trough interviews, medical record, and laboratory test. Adverse drug reaction interview was obtained with Naranjo and New Genetic Algorithm. The results showed around 56,67% patients have adverse drug reaction(s). Many patients experienced pins and needles effect and musculoskletal problems. Potencial drug interaction that widely used are the combination of amlodipin and simvastatin. From data, obtained tha there is no differences between Naranjo and New Genetic Algorithm assessment (p=0,058). The results from Chi-square test showed that there is a significant correlation between gender (p=0,006) and age (p=0,048) with adverse drug reaction. However, there is no significant correlation between number of drugs consumed (p=0,081), body mass index (p=0,081), and controlled blood glucose (p=0,371) or controlled blood pressure (p=0,081) with adverse drug reaction.
