Description
Summary:Production capacity of a geothermal well can be described with a relation curve between wellhead pressure and mass rate that produced from that well, which is usually called production output curve. This curve can be obtained from the result of production test after drilling completion. When the data from the production test is not available in sufficient number, or in a different condition, the production output curve can be predicted with an analytical simulation. This modeling’s goal is to simulate the fluid flow behavior in the reservoir and in the wellbore. In this paper, it will be simulated the pressure loss in the wellbore to get the productivity of the well with the drift-flux model. Some of the geothermal well contains non condensable gas such as CO2 that can affect the thermophysics properties of the fluid like enthalpy, viscosity, partial pressure, density, and entropy. The correlation to calculate the water and steam properties with the influence of NCG should be done in addition of drift-flux model calculation. With the production test result input, the bottomhole pressure of the well can be calculated. From that, the productivity of the reservoir can be determined. With assuming the PI is constant, production output curve prediction with bighole configuration can be made.
