Air quality monitoring is an important factor to handle air quality management in DKI Jakarta. In this study, on the basis data of 30 minutes average of NOx (NO &NO2) concentration at 5 monitoring stations in DKI Jakarta from 2018 – 2020, analysis of hourly and monthly variations of NOx (NO & NO2), as well as their relationship with other pollutants and meteorological factors were analyzed. The results showed that the exceedance of the NO2 quality standard for 1- hour average was found in DKI1 (3 times), DKI2 (1 time), and DKI4 (3 times), for 24-hours average was found in DKI1 (13 times), DKI2(25 times), DKI4 (1 time), and DKI5 (2 times), and there was no exceedance of the quality standard for the 1-year average. The diurnal variation of NOx (NO & NO2) concentrations shows 2 daily peaks where the first peak occurred in the morning at around 07.00 for NO and 08.30 for NO2, while the second peak occurred at night around 00.30 for NO and 22.30 for NO2. In general, NO and NO2 have the highest concentration in the rainy season, and low during the dry season. The highest concentrations of NO and NO2 were found at DKI1 for NO and DKI2 for NO2, and the ratio of NO/NO2 concentration resulted in the highest ratio at DKI1 station due to its study location that has a strong vehicular influence. Diurnal variations of NOx (NO & NO2) and O3 analysis indicates that diurnal variation of NOx is opposite to O3. NOx (NO & NO2) concentrations were high in the morning and night, and low during the daytime, while the concentration of O3 is high during the day and decrease in the late afternoon until the next morning. NO concentration negatively correlated with solar radiation, wind speed, air temperature both day and night, and positively correlated with humidity, while NO2 concentration negatively correlated with solar radiation, wind speed, humidity, daytime temperature, and positively correlated with nighttime temperature. text |
