Description
Summary:Surface active agent is a chemical agent that usually used in Enhanced Oil Recovery process to regain the oil recovery by reducing the surface tension between reservoir fluids. This final project is focused on the performance of surfactant flooding in various oil density, reservoir wettability and area in five-spot pattern using commercial simulator. Recovery Factor will be the main parameter in analyzing the performance of surfactant flooding. The simulation results shows us that surfactant flooding successfully increase the waterflood oil recovery ,at least 10% , for 21-40?API in oil-wet reservoir and for 20-40?API in water-wet reservoir. In addition, it also be found that the oil density affect the sensitivity of oil recovery factor to the area. Simulation resultsalso shows us that awater-wetreservoiryield a higher oilrecoveryfactorthanwetoilreservoir. Even so, thetrendof the declineof the oil recovery increment are identical.
