Description
Summary:THE RIPPING STUDY OF DOZER D10T IN PIT SARI, PT CIPTA KRIDATAMA PROJECT SITE ADIMITRA BARATAMA NUSANTARA ABSTRACT Material excavation activity in PT Cipta Kridatama (CK) Project Site Adimitra Baratama Nusantara (ABN) uses ripping method by Dozer D10T. In an effort to increase overburden production, PT CK wants to know the rippability of Dozer D10T. Therefore, a research is needed to determine material excavatability and ripping productivity of Dozer D10T. In this research, it is necessary to collect the field data such as: ripping area, cycle time, and duration of dozer utilization for ripping, general supporting, and delay. Moreover, there are also the supporting data such as: type and strength of material on each seam, length of shank ripper, depth of ripping, and the production estimated graph of Dozer D10T which is based on the Performance Handbook Caterpillar 45th Edition. Those data are used as a basis for processing and analyzing this research. The results show that the material excavatability in the site of ABN are classified as hard digging to easy ripping, all dozers can perform well, and some results show that the actual ripping productivity which are based on the field formula do not reach the results from the theoretical formula. Moreover, the duration of dozer utilization except ripping has a high influence on productivity, so there are some suggestions for consideration, such as improvement the control in the field and adding some dozers that are focused on doing general supporting activities in the pit.
