Permeability is a very significant parameter in determining the dynamics of the reservoir. Errors in the characterization would be very detrimental to the development of an oil field. Porosity - permeability Transformation is the most commonly used method, especially in reservoir simulation, which estimating absolute permeability value from relationship between porosity and permeability in the semi-log curve as a linear curve. But in fact, the method shows significant erors, especially on the permeability which has high value, due to neglect the cloud effect and considered the linear relationship between log porosity and the permeability. Cloud transform method is a transformation method which the existing cloud on the plot of porosity and permeability remain included in the estimated permeability value. In cloud transform method, permeability is estimated by summing the permeability deterministic and the cloud. The cloud is estimated by assuming that the distribution in nature always follow a normal distribution , so that based on the eror or deviation of deterministic permeability from actually permeability , the cloud that would appear on the data can be estimated.The objective of this study is to find the best method performed in the cloud transform based on sensitivity analysis on the input of main equations used in the cloud transform method. This study also evaluate the methods used, compared to the porosity and permeability transform which is commonly used. The result of this study is proposed a best method to estimate the permeability with cloud transform method. text
