This research is to measure the result of the campaign, by identifying the extent of handwashing habit formation in the community and the basic awareness among children. Apart from the mission to build awareness, there is also a marketing interest which is the introduction and (in the long run) the increased sales for Lifebuoy soap. If this effort is successful, it may increase the quality of life of the communities without sacrificing the company interests. This could become a good model for other companies in taking part in building a better Indonesia. A study on habit formation should be directed towards children. This study used simple questionnaires and interview methods to obtain children hand washing habit, the source of knowledge on the importance of hand washing and how they are reminded to wash their hands by their parents. This study concluded that the handwashing habit is actually developed by the parents. However, Lifebuoy handwashing campaign contributes significantly in creating an awareness for the need of washing hands, but not significantly formed hand washing habit. It is suggested that involvement of parents are teachers can enhance the hand washing habit. text
