As of currently, it is managed through the agri-food supply chain. The agri-food supply chain itself has several characteristics which raises issue within the supply chain, one of them being the existence of by-products from the procurement known as wastes. The management of these wastes has become the concern for many countries, especially regarding reducing the amount of wastes and obtaining economy values from them. The circular economy concepts has been stated as being able to answer that concern. Through circular economy concepts, wastes from one process would be utilized as resources for the other processes. Through this system, the amount of wastes to be discarded directly to landfill could be minimised and economy value could be gained from the wastes. Thus, there has been quite some research regarding the implementation of these concepts to various supply chain. Several of those researches are concerned with the agri-food supply chain. However, the researches of circular economy implementation in agri-food supply chains very rarely discusses the societal and behavioural aspects of the supply chain. Meanwhile, prior research has found that the interaction and behaviour of actor have impacts to the performance of supply chain, especially in Indonesian context. This fact is especially important as there is an opportunity to implement circular economy concepts in Indonesia, which has high amount of organic waste and currently devise no means of managing those wastes. Thus, it has come to attention that there is importance in researching the implementation from the societal and behavioural aspects. Thus, this research aims to further understand the aspects in real life system by utilizing the soft systems methodology to gather the necessary information from a physical system. The case of organic fertilizer producer, PT. Biokonversi Indonesia, has been selected as the referenced case study for the model. The resulting could be used to aid further research in testing various possible solutions to the issues found within the case text
