Abstract : <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Rapid development of communication technology in the past two decades brings significant impacts to the world communication industry. Fierce competition on the market forced the company to improve its performance level. Operational risks as one of the element of risk proved to be an essential element of daily operational job. Research shows that 83% of respondent use Operational Risk Management (ORM) as a tool to improve their companys performance level. Telkom as the largest telecommunication provider in Indonesia fully understood the importance of ORM in order to compete with competitor. Mitigation of ORM is implemented on internal regulation to improve companys performance level. ORM develop three important phase started from risk identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation. Telkoms involvement on stock listing on NYSE brings greater consequences to employ Good Corporate Governance program. This program must follow sets of standard given by the authority of SEC and reported annually. Therefore conceive urgency to implemented ORM who can accommodate financial requirements that have been necessitated by SEC. Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) is a committee of 13 countries established to promote consistent risk mitigation on bank and bank regulator. On of the Basel framework provide information of AMA (Advance Measurement Approach) that can be used as quantification tools for operation risk assessment. AMA method is needed as quantification tools to develop new matrix that can accommodate ORM process in Telkom. From the analysis result, there are seventeen categorization of Telkoms operation risks described as follows: 4 risks with categorization of very high, 8 risks with categorization of high and 5 risks with categorization of medium.
