currency has begun to emerge. This happens because the nature of the blockchain is
strong against attacks, difficult to change its history, and works without central
authority. Blockchain has attracted the interest of stakeholders in various industries
such as finance, healthcare, utilities, real estate, and not to be left behind in the
Blockchain government sector, which is a distributed and decentralized ledger that
contains blocks of connected transactions. Because the organization is distributed and
decentralized, blockchain technology can be used to develop a tamper proof employee
attendance system. Presence system which currently still uses conventional databases.
In conventional databases, checking information changes without rights will take a lot
of time, because you have to do an investigation on the log side. Not all information
systems have adequate log features, including the possibility of deleted log entries that
make investigations impossible. Conventional databases do not have special features
in checking whether an information has undergone unauthorized changes.
In this study, a blockchain-based employee attendance system will be developed that is
designed in accordance with the business processes of each workflow in the employee
presence system, namely employee data recording workflows, workflow employee
attendance transactions, leave workflow, letter recording workflow duties, permits and
sickness and reporting workflows. On a blockchain based system, there is no
administrator permission that allows editing or deleting data. Someone who enters an
information entry on the blockchain will not be able to deny that he is doing the activity.
Each party on the blockchain has access to the entire database and history. The
blockchain-based employee attendance system is expected to produce a database that
maintains its reliability and integrity and tamper proof. |
