Sustainable Livelihood Framework (SLF) is one of the most widely referenced approaches related to the study of poverty and rural development. On this basis, tourism development in Suntenjaya Tourism Village needs to focus on the community and the resources they control, so this research was structured to deep understanding on the sustainable livelihoods of the community in Suntenjaya Tourism Village. Aspects in SLF indetified include Context, Conditions & Trends, Livelihood Assets, Structures & Processes, Livelihood Strategies, and Livelihood Outcomes. Researcher used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques such as moderate participation observation, semi-structured interviews to informants that categorized into several livelihood groups, and documentation. The analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results show that the livelihood of the community in Suntenjaya Tourism Village are at the “Coping” stage, where the current livelihood is sustainable but unlikely to be better in the future if it is not balanced with improvements in livelihood aspects. The community is quites difficult to control their resources because of the shock (Covid-19 pandemic) and ther is alost total dependence on natural capital which the majority is not fully owned by them. Livelihoods can increase towards the “Adaptation” stage by maximazing intensification and extensification strategies, which is through the development of livelihood resources-based tourism activities and develeopment of authentic rural experienced as tourism alternatives to reduced vulnerability. text
