In anticipation of the ferocious competition, the company must seek new opportunities in the market. Its essential for company to act and think like entrepreneurs in coping with the business challenges. The objectives of this study are to identify intrapreneurship cultural dimensions which dominate The British Institute and to investigate types of entrepreneurial leaders in the company. This study was carried out through a questionnaire survey using the Entrepreneurial Orientation Survey (EOS) and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Questionnaire (ELQ). The EOS and ELQ questionnaire were spread to 55 employees. The outcome on EOS illustrates that in general The british Institutes culture is dominated by Market Intelligence dimension and Speed dimension (received high scores), whereas General and Individual Orientation dimensions received low scores. The outcome on ELQ illustrates that there are gaps between importance and frequency for General Entrepreneurial Leadership (GEL), Explorer, Miner, Accelerator and Integrator. Further analysis of ELQ outcome illustrates that The British Institute has a higher level of entrepreneurial leadership in the Miner type. It is recommended for The British Institute to develop its entrepreneurial culture in General, Individual Orientation, and Risk Aversion dimensions. The company should also develop entrepreneurial leadership characters especially in the Integrator and Accelerator types, so a better environment, the growth of creation, innovation and entrepreneurial activities could be initiated and sustained. <br /> text |
