Summary:Start-up growing pace in Indonesia is at exceptional pace. Although the exceptional pace of start-up growth, many start-ups fail in the very early stages and less than one third of them turn into companies. Failure occurs due to several reasons, such as lack of finance, team management problems, lack of enough business knowledge, and technology lag. Almost 80% of start-up companies in Indonesia failed in the first year, and 65% of start-up failed because of internal problems. McKinsey stated that if an organization want to sustain for a long term, it needs to keep not only the performances but also its health. Organizational Health Index (OHI) tools by McKinsey is necessary for start-up to evaluate and implementing organizational health as a priority. The purpose of this study is to analyse OHI from multiple cases of three start-ups engaged in fintech and conduct a descriptive cross analysis between the cases. It was found that each of three companies have different archetypes with some similarities in practice points. With OHI result, companies could identify problems earlier, solve them faster, and become healthier.
