Summary:This study is entitled Succession Planning for Daughter toward Readiness to Continue the Family Business. This research is based on the problem where the succession plan that is usually carried out by family companies is mostly for boys not for girls, which causes the least successor of women in family businesses. This study uses qualitative methods, namely interviews and observations, with family businesses engaged in the snack food business located in Bandung, West Java and have only girls who are pursuing Strata-1 studies. The readiness of girls in family business is influenced by the ideals and interests of girls and the ability of parents to transfer the values and knowledge of family business as provisions for girls. The findings in this study indicate that parents expect their daughters to continue and enter their business so that parents provide more provisions to their daughters which causes girls to choose to join and have a relationship with family business and focus more on developing existing family businesses towards better.
