Indonesia’s education quality is still behind developed countries. It can inhibit the achievement of Golden Indonesia 2045 from the education pillar. Currently, web-based learning which an e-learning form is can be one of alternatives to help students in understanding school subjects’ materials. Using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research goal is to explore the adoption of web- based learning towards junior high school students. There are two ways of data collections: primary data using semi structured interview towards 17 junior high school students in Bandung city and secondary data by doing desk research through internet with content analysis approach. The research result shown that many junior high school students in Bandung who have not using e-learning platforms to help them study, especially in mathematics subject. They tend to rely on conventional way such as using tutorial session after school. While the junior high school students who have been using e-learning platforms got a lot of benefits such as: effective learning, mathematics subject becomes easier to understand and learning math is more fun. Their mathematics score also increases. Some aspects which influence it are innovation, engagement and collaboration. Overall, this research shown that web-based learning adoption in helps junior high school students in Bandung have a good potential to improve learning ability, especially in mathematics subject. Nevertheless, this research limited to junior high school students in Bandung as the research samples. text |
