LIVE ACTION ANIMATION DESIGN IN AN EFFORT TO DEVELOP POSITIVE SIDE OF INNER CHILD AMONG YOUNG ADULT

Inner child refers to the representation of child spirit within a mature individual. Behind the association with negative effects, however inner child posseses a positive side which originates from pleasant experiences. This positive effect will helpful if they are rediscovered and reflected. That being said, this issue is necessary to be widely shared to young adults, so that they get the message and positive influenced to implelement it in their life. Live action and animation hybrid medium is deemed to be ideal to showcase interactions between actors and inner child representation (fictional characters). This media is capable of showing something that real life isn’t. The purpose of this media design includes figuring out a way to inform the positive side of inner child within young adults for a more pleasant life. The methods employed in this design consist of literary research, interviews with experts of psychology and media, as well as quesionnaire distributed to young adults of 18-25 years of age. The creation of this medium undergoes a set of processes which include planning the concept and media, production of live action scenes, and editing where fictional characters are inserted a two-dimensional figures.
