Summary:Abstract: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> An experimental study using physical model were conducted to observe the performance from one of artificial lift method which is have been used in numerous number in petroleum industries, called with gas lift method. The experiments are conducted to observe the effect of productivity changes (PI) by giving a Skin Effect to the model. Furthermore, the observation also conducted for the use of concentric pipe inside the tubing, various concentric pipes shape and size are used to see the effect to the performance of the gas lift method it self. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The laboratory model which has been developed before, were being modified by adding the reservoir height controller, to simulate a various reservoir pressure, and control valve to simulate the skin effect to the model. Water is the fluid that we used in the experiment, and air from compressor were injected to see the flow pattern occurred in two phase flow liquid and gas. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From the experiment which is conducted, it was found that the productivity changes in reservoir resulting a optimum liquid rate changes in linear relation, and the use of concentric pipe which have particular size and shape can increase the optimum liquid rate produced, due to the increase in buoyancy effect which help the liquid lifting compares to the performance from the same system without using concentric pipe in the same tubing size. <br />
