The Industry 4.0 is first being introduced as a national strategy of German Government in 2011. The concept of Industry 4.0 is the process of the integration and continuous connection of the internet world and the real world, all the production process will rely entirely to internet and technology advancement that will be used to support the production process of Industry 4.0. The Industry Ministry of Indonesia has prepared and focused on five industrial sectors to compete in Industry 4.0 which are food and beverages, textiles and clothing, automotive, chemical, and electronics. The government has also prepared a roadmap strategy named “Making Indonesia 4.0”. However, based on BPS data the labors in the manufacturing industry is dominated by Junior High School Graduates (22.8%) and Elementary School (23.06%) that can be interpret as Low Skilled labor. This research aims to design a mapping of the human capital readiness in implementing Industry 4.0 with PT. XYZ as the object of this research, conducted using quantitative data analysis by distributing questionnaires to 72 employees of PT. XYZ. This research analyzed 4 factors of human capital readiness which are Knowledge, Hard Skill, Soft Skill and Attitude. The data that has been gathered will be observed using Geomean Formula in Excel and HDI formula. The result of this research showed that PT. XYZ has not been fully ready in implementing Industry 4.0 that can be seen from the Knowledge and Soft Skill factors HDI scores that range from 0.80 – 1. Therefore, the researcher recommends PT. XYZ to have a culture internalization between employees regarding Industry 4.0 through training or job enhancement and to filter out employees of PT. XYZ so the remain employees are individuals that have qualified the readiness requirement levels. text |
