The indonesian government has established the development of hutan tanaman industri (HTI) as a solution to increase production and equalize consumption in a priority programs of development of indonesian forestry. Sinarmas Forestry as a company engaged in hutan tanaman industri with a team from Mechanical Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, designed an equipment or tool to help the development of hutan tanaman industri. One of process is soil loosening as land preparation stage to be used as a medium for planting tress. This step usually has several problems such as the need of labors, long tilling time, and the condition or type of the land itself for example marine clay. These problems will reduce the efficiency of tree planting for forestry. Therefore a solution is needed to be able to solve these kind of problems. This can be achieved by means of mechanization in land tilling such as using a crusher bucket.
The designing process of crusher bucket are divided into two part : mechanic system and driving system. This research focuses on hydraulic system as driving system that will be used in crusher bucket. The work on the final project is carried out based on the predetermined Design Requirements & Objectives (DR&O). The design in this study includes the hydraulic system circuit and its components, system calculation and testing process that are carried out analytically and using software assistance and simulation result analysis to determine the designed system result in real condition.
