Government of DKI Jakarta has started to build the development of urban areas, one of them is by planning transit-oriented development. One of the planned transit-based area is Lebak Bulus. In this area, there is a confluence of more than two transportation modes and two major public transportation infrastructures, namely Lebak Bulus Terminal and Lebak Bulus MRT Station. However, the lack of supporting public transportation facilities, missing public spaces, and poor accessibility have made this area not a comfortable and safe destination for public transportation users and the surrounding community. The absence of destinations that are connected to stations, terminals, and the surrounding area hampers area development to create good urban spaces. Responding to the problems of transportation connectivity and accessibility of the Lebak Bulus area, a transit hub is designed. The aim of this project is to contribute to the problems of transportation connectivity and the needs of public transportation users in the Lebak Bulus MRT Station area with design interventions that can revive the area around transit points and increase community dependence on public transportation with diversity of modes as an asset. The strategy used is the use of wayfinding system that can improve transit experience. The designed transit hub facilities are also supported by various commercial areas, social spaces, and public services so that they can become new destinations for transit and non-transit users, also can have an impact in form of improving the quality of the area around the transit node socially, economically, and physically.
