| Summary: | In today's era, technological developments have experienced sophistication. Until the library is digitized, it is worrying that the books will be eliminated. In addition, people's interest in reading is also getting lower. This is because the library facilities cannot accommodate its function as an information center and the building tends not to attract attention. However, Bekasi has the potential to become a library because the number of public libraries in Bekasi has increased. Seen from the emergence of public libraries and mobile libraries. Yet the facilities are not very comfortable, the library tends to be just a place for storage and the building conditions are inadequate. Therefore, the design of this public library is expected to become a center for information, recreation and entertainment, as well as cultural development. The Hybrid Library is a library with a mix of traditional printed materials such as books and magazines, as well as electronic-based materials such as downloadable audio books, electronic journals, e-books, etc. This concept encourages libraries to acquire digital resources by providing centralized technology resources. Hybrid Library can be applied to public library services in Bekasi City by considering aspects of function and theme. |
