INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/64989 Mental fatigue is a common thing experienced by humans. Mental fatigue has factors that cannot be controlled by a person. Most of these conditions occur due to external factors, such as work, the influence of people around us, and the most actual event, namely the pandemic. Mental fatigue that occurs continuously can affect a person's emotional, psychological, and physical stability. Mental fatigue can be reversed in several ways, both internally and externally. One of the activities that can help restore a person's saturated condition is recreational and tourism activities. The priority tourism activity that can be a solution to mental fatigue is fitness tourism. With the existence of fitness tourism, a person can improve their health and fitness as well as recover from mental fatigue. As an effort to respond to increasing community fitness to reduce mental fatigue conditions, architecture can contribute to creating a tourism facility that can support fitness needs as well as self-restoration facilities for the community. Design a project with the vision of building a resort that can accommodate the fitness needs of tourists with a self-restoration environment design approach. This project has several fitness facilities to support fitness tourism programs and has a healing environment concept to improve one's self-restoration process. The project is planned to be initiated by PT Nusantara Island Resort in collaboration with Aman Resort to manage the entire system of fitness and resort facilities in the building. The design of the building has several values that are always carried by the design of the Aman Resort. The project location is in Jimbaran Village, Bali which is a rural area quite far from the city noise. The project location was chosen on the grounds that it has a location with a low noise level and is adjacent to a cliff that leads directly to the beach. The project's location in Bali requires the designer to be able to respond to the concept of traditional Balinese architecture in the building. Various aspects such as shape, proportion, zoning, structure, and materials can be adopted from the concept of traditional Balinese architecture. The main concept used in the project in applying the concept of traditional Balinese architecture is the Sanga Mandala concept. The Sanga Mandala concept is applied in laying out the mass and function of the building. This project is expected to solve three main design issues, namely creating a healing environment at the resort, providing fitness facilities, and implementing local cultural values. text |
