Chinese ethnic groups have subethnics that are distinguished according to the dialect they speak. The Chinese subethnics in Indonesia mostly come from the southern and southeastern coasts of China. The problem that occurs today is the degradation in cultural values compared to the previous generation in the younger adult generation. The current generation of young adults do not know the differences between these subethnics, and they often not even know their own Chinese sub-ethnics in their family. In an effort to preserve Chinese culture in Indonesia and introduce the Chinese subethnics in Indonesia, an information facility is needed that provides information about the Chinese subethnics in a visually appealing delivery method for young adults. This method of delivering information through editorial books with visuals and language that are easy to understand and attractive. This can be a solution to the problem because editorial book is a medium that can combine text and visuals together so that readers do not get bored reading the book. The content that will be discussed is general information about subethnics, the history of coming to Indonesia, culinary arts, and also the differences in local gods. The results of the questionnaire show that there are still many young adults who do not know more about the differences in the Chinese subethnics. The selected target audience is the young adults (18-40 years). This design is in the form of an editorial book consisting of 4 main books, each of which discusses a subtribe with an attractive illustration style and uses a Chinese-Indonesian accent. text
