INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/65079 The linear equation system is one of the mathematical subjects that relate what students learn to problems in real life. In the linear equation system, there are non-routine questions related to real life, but in fact that there are many students who have difficulty solving problems in the systems of linear equations, especially system of linear equations in multivariable. Open-ended questions are one way to improve mathematical problem-solving skills. Using open-ended questions in learning mathematics allows students to improve their skills in answering mathematical problems, especially in the systems of linear equations in multivariable. Open-ended questions about the system of linear equations in multivariable in a mathematics teaching material are expected to improve the critical and creative thinking skills of the student in solving various problems, both mathematical and real-life problems. In this project, a teaching material about open-ended questions of linear equation systems in multivariable was developed. The approach used in the development of teaching materials is the ADDIE development model. There are five stages of the ADDIE model, namely the analysis stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. During the validation and trial stages, validation was carried out by material experts and linguists. Aspects assessed in material expert validation are aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, contextual assessment, and graphic feasibility. While the aspect that is assessed in the validation of linguists is the aspect of language feasibility. A validity test was also conducted to show the level of validity of an instrument and a reliability test to show the level of reliability of an instrument. The results of the material expert validation show that the average value is 86,23% can be concluded that the teaching material is considered feasible to use. The results of the trial with the small group got an average score of 85,83% and in the field test got an average score of 84,76% can be concluded that the teaching material was in the very feasible category according to the students. The results of the validity and reliability test of students’ questionnaires to teaching materials in the small group, from 20 statement points obtained 14 points are valid and reliable. In the field, the test obtained 16 points are valid and reliable. From the results of the validity and reliability test of questions test in the small group, from 20 questions obtained 17 questions are valid and reliable. In the field, the test obtained 19 questions are valid and reliable. It can be concluded that the teaching material about open-ended questions of linear equation systems in multivariable is feasible to use. text |
