Summary:Cats are one of the most popular pets amongst all ages, including children. Cats are able to help a child through their growth stages including empathy and responsibility. Though some children who wished for a cat has no knowledge to care for one, a cat’s mental condition will affect the owner’s process of growth. This children’s book is designed to educate children to care for their cats, and a communication through a narrative with guides to care for cats is necessary. This book’s narrative is based on studies, interviews, questionnaires, and prototype testings that have been done. According to the data provided, the primary content of this book includes a story accompanied by guides on how to take care of cats which mimics scrapbooks. They are portrayed in a digitally drawn cartoonish visual style, and accommodated by it’s bright and friendly colors, typography, characters, and tone. Through it’s visual narrative, this book aims to improve children’s knowledge, empathy, and responsibility in taking care of their pet cats and cats around them.
