Description
Summary:Abstrak:

Carbon paste electrode has been commonly used in voltammetric measurement. This electrode can be chemically modified to improve its performance. In this research, silica based carbon paste electrode has been plated with a thin mercury layer for the measurement of Pb2+ solution in two type of electrolyte, namely HNO3 and KNO3, using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry technique. Results of measurement in HNO3 solution are much better than those in KNO3 solution. Repeated measurements in HNO3 give standar deviation of 2,46%. Calibration curve is linear in the range of 1 to 1000 ppb with dtection limit of 0,56 ppb. Accuracy of the measurement is quite good with percent recovery between 97,64% to 104,28%.
