The area is prone to earthquakes. This is because the area is adjacent to the Lembang Fault. The Lembang Fault is an active shear fault located in the Lembang District, Bandung Regency, and West Java and has a length of approximately 29 km which extends from Padalarang to Jatinangor. The Lembang Fault can cause earthquakes with a magnitude of around 6.8 to 7 Magnitude. Given that many victims of the past disaster are women, further research is needed on the role of women in community-based risk reduction efforts (DRR-BK), which is still a thorny issue for policy and practice. This study aims to obtain results in the form of a women's empowerment planning scheme in Bandung Metropolitan area that is still located in the vicinity of the Lembang Fault to increase women's capacity in increasing disaster resilience. The methodology used in this research is literature study, collecting data samples in the form of questionnaires, and in-depth interviews related to women's perception of the risk of an earthquakes. The data used in this study are data from questionnaires, interviews, and BNPB earthquake risk maps. The results of the study show that women have a role in disasters both in pre-disaster, emergency response, and post-disaster. The lack of women's participation in efforts to reduce disaster risk is due to the lack of available forums and the obstacles faced, such as the lack of timely disaster information and psychologically women who are still seen as dependent so they are not included. text
