Pottery is a creative industry development model that can have more economic value and has the potential to prosper the community. This is in accordance with the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 9 of 2014 concerning regional superior products. However, the disruption to the NTB economy since the 2002 Bali Bombings, the 2018 Earthquake and the COVID-19 pandemic has also caused a decline in pottery production in Banyumulek Village. The momentum of the international event held in Lombok and changes in consumer behavior due to the pandemic are gaps that can be used to adapt. The main purpose of this research is to determine the capabilities of the craftsmen, the problems that arise, and the potential of local resources in order to increase the economic value. Efforts are being made to diversify products so that they can be accepted by both local and international markets. Adapting the market and trends, the products produced are in the form of home decorations such as candle holders and several other supporting products. Although the designs are contemporary, the products are made by artisans using local materials and techniques to still expose the uniqueness of Banyumulek. The data obtained in this study used qualitative methods in the form of literature studies, indirect observations, and interviews. text |
