PENENTUAN DAYA DUKUNG AIR UNTUK KEPERLUAN DOMESTIK DI PULAU KECIL (STUDI KASUS: PULAU SAPUDI)
Increasing number of residents and the limitations that small islands have in accommodating rainwater make information about water carrying capacity very important. This research aims to find out the value of water carrying capacity for domestic purposes of small islands with the location of Sapudi...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/65190 Increasing number of residents and the limitations that small islands have in accommodating rainwater make information about water carrying capacity very important. This research aims to find out the value of water carrying capacity for domestic purposes of small islands with the location of Sapudi Island, Sumenep Regency, East Java. The research is conducted using the thornthwaite mather water balance method using only the water quantity and land cover classification. In its implementation, it is necessary to determine the water holding capacity value as supporting data in the calculation of the water balance of the thornthwaite mather method. The study was conducted using secondary data consisting of population data, basic human water needs data, monthly air temperature data, monthly rainfall data, land cover data, as well as administrative and area boundary data of Sapudi Island. The results show that the carrying capacity index (DD) obtained ranged from 0.4 DD to 3.5 DD with details that there were 8 villages with very high carrying capacity status, 9 villages with high carrying capacity status, and 1 village with very low carrying capacity status. The village with the highest carrying capacity index is Nonggunong Village and the village with the lowest carrying capacity index is Gayam Village. The deficit in Gayam Village is due to the high domestic water demand factor with low water availability. This research shows that most of the villages on Sapudi Island have sufficient water availability to meet the domestic needs of their residents. text |
